Using more than one Perl library With xampp apache web server

xampp comes with perl.

It is installed at C:\xampp\perl\bin\

On apache web servers scripts refer to the location of the perl script with the #! reference on the first line of the script.

#!”C:\xampp\perl\bin\perl.exe”

Problem with their version of perl is it may lack a library that is needed for the script. A different installation of perl can be referenced. On unix systems perl is normally installed at /usr/bin/perl/ to make moving scripts around you can keep the same reference.

#!/usr/bin/perl/perl.exe

#!/usr/bin/perl/

Note: perl.exe is for local use when the script is uploaded remove that part – add perl.exe to the end of the first line for any script you download to have it run on the local system.
